Dorian Andrews is no stranger to the stage. As an up and coming artist, he has managed to travel locally and regionally for work in the NY/NJ Tri-State Area. He has worked with Sayreville Main Street Theatre Company, Plays-in-the-Park, Phoenix Productions, Edison Valley Playhouse, The Darress Theatre, interACT Theatre, Villagers Theatre, The Dempsey Theatre, and most recently, the Black Lady Theatre. Dorian hails from Central Jersey in the Metuchen/ Edison Area.

From the age of three, he was belting to Michael Jackson songs in his great-grandmother's adjustable cane as a microphone. As the son of a choir director and teacher, Dorian gained major support from his parents in becoming the performer he is aspiring to be. His love for music, art and the stage is a passion of his directly acquired from his father. Even as a young boy, Dorian would compete in dance contests, sing solos in church, and participate in school activites such as chorus. Dorian's strong influences growing up in his career are headlined by his father, David. Other influential artists that have served in Dorian's aspirations are: Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Usher, Norm Lewis, Phylicia Rashad, Angela Robinson, Rosie Perez, Brandy, 2Pac, Denzel Washington, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige.

Dorian grew up not only in the public eye onstage, but in the eye of the camera as well. For several years, Dorian served as a model for Meredith East Models in publications and educational text books. This print work served as means of him discovering how photogenic he is. This type of work has gotten Dorian on the cover of Flaghouse Magazine twice. In other media coverage, Dorian has traveled and worked in the city as a model and singer. Dorian was apart of PIX 11 News as a Back-to-School model for Cotton, Inc. He has also served as a member for two years under Vy Higginsen (Mama I Want to Sing, WBLS Radio personality) in the famous GFT: Gospel for Teens Choir in Harlem, NY. With this choir, Dorian has sung alongside Cissy Houston, Dionne Warwick, Angie Stone, Valerie Simpson; he has been in the Montcler Fashion Week 2011 premiere, and has been on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) for an hour-long showcase special for GFT.

Prior to embarking onto his performing efforts, Dorian ran track in high school for four years and was a National Art Honors Society member for his artistic attributes in art class. Since Dorian has ventured in his theatrical career between school and running, he has been seen in: In The Heights (Benny), The Wiz (Tinman), Hairspray (Seaweed J. Stubbs), Finian's Rainbow (Gospeleer), The Music Man, Legally Blonde, Ragtime, Sweet Charity, Oklahoma!, and the Two Month Rule. Currently Dorian is persuing a Musical Theatre degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. He was the resident choreographer and Vice President of FDU's Dance Team while there. Most recently, Dorian returned from studying abroad in England in January 2016 and continues to chase his dreams.
